Since its establishment in 1989, FATF has evolved to become a body with membership with as many as 34 member states and two regional organizations, such as the European Community and the Gulf Cooperation Countries Union and 8 regional FATF-style groups that are associated members.  Together they make up the FATF global network which, to-date, is composed of over 190 jurisdictions.
