“The latest prepcom has two main opposite results: in two weeks it was not possible to reach consensus among the NPT members and agree on the text of recommendations for the 2020 Review Conference, but it was decided to appoint Argentinean diplomat Rafael Mariano Grossi as the Chair of the Review Conference – his formal appointment will take place at the end of 2019," Adlan Margoev, PIR Center “Russia and Nuclear Nonproliferation” Program Director.

In 2017-2019, Margoev was the "Russia and Nuclear Nonproliferation" Program Director at PIR Center. Graduate of the M.A. Dual Degree Program in Nonproliferation Studies established by PIR Center, MGIMO University, and Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (2018). Holds a B.A. degree in International Relations from MGIMO University with major in Iranian Studies (2016). Speaks English and Persian. His research interests include Iran's nuclear program, NPT review process, Russian arms control and nonproliferation policies, and U.S.-Russia dialogue on nuclear issues. 06/19
