Biography :

In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1984. Graduated from MGIMO of the USSR MFA in 1982. In 2003 – 2007 served as Senior Counselor and Head of Politico-Military section of the Russian Embassy in the USA, in 2007 – 2011 as Head of the Section of the Department for Security Affairs and Disarmament. In 2011 – 2018 – Deputy Director of the Department for Nonproliferation and Arms Control. On January 25, 2018 Mr. Yermakov was appointed to the position of the Director of the Department for Nonproliferation and Arms Control.
