He has previously served as a Research Fellow at the Center for Global Trends and International Organizations of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, PIR Center «Russia and Nuclear Nonproliferation» Program Director and the Editor-in-Chief of monthly e-bulletin “Yaderny Kontrol” (“Nuclear Control”). Mr. Baklitskiy was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in 2019-2020. He taught courses on nuclear nonproliferation and emerging technologies at the MGIMO University and the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
