From 2016 – leading research fellow and Head of Center for Applied Political-Military Research of School of World Politics, M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University.  Deputy CEO of "Vega Radio Engineering Corporation" from  2009 to 2018. Oleg Demidov graduated from the School of Public Administration at Moscow State University of Lomonosov in 2010. Currently, Oleg has been working on his Ph.D thesis at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University). In 2011-2012, he held the position of Project Coordinator at Center for Political and International Studies (CPIS) under the International Federation for Peace and Conciliation. Since 2012, he has served as an expert to the Commission on Information Security and Cybercrime at the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC). In 2013-2014, he held the position of Director of the Program International Information Security and Global Internet Governance at PIR Center. 

Since 2011 Oleg has been participating in the international project “A Twenty-First Century Concert of Powers” conducted by Frankfurt Peace Research Institute (PRIF) (through 2014). He is the author of a number of research articles on information security, cybersecurity, and global internet governance in PIR Center’s Security Index journal and other editions. Oleg serves as the Secretary of the Working Group on International Information Security and Global Internet Governance under PIR Center Advisory Board. In March 2014 Oleg became a member of the Research Advisory Network (RAN) under the Global Commission on Internet Governance (CGIG). PIR Center Advisory Board member since 2015.

In 1990, he graduated from MGIMO University. He worked in the Foreign Ministry of the USSR/Russia, in the Moscow News newspaper.

In 2000-2002, he studied the Management in the Military-Technical Cooperation course at the Russian Foreign Trade Academy.  Since 1994 he is a Research Fellow at the PIR Center.

He is a Research fellow at the Russian Diplomatic Academy, Member of the Expert Council on the International Humanitarian Law of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, participant of the International Panel on the Regulation of Autonomous Weapons Systems (IPRAW), participant of the Russian-American Dartmouth dialogue.

His research interests include military artificial intelligence, new weapons systems, arms control, Russia's military-technical cooperation with foreign states, strategic stability, Russia-US and Russia-NATO relations, Central Asia and Afghanistan, and illicit arms trade.

He has more than 300 publications on international security issues.

Mikhail is an experienced attorney and specialist in the field of information security. He is the  PayPal IRM Director, earlier - vice president of the Mail.ru Group and previously served as president of the Coordination Center of the Russian Top-Level Domain (RU), DST Advisors Managing Director. Mikhail focuses on information rights issues, including access to information. He has co-authored the drafts of most of Russia's legislation on information technology. Previously, he was employed at Microsoft Russia, where he was responsible for the corporation's cooperation with governmental authorities in Russia and other CIS states.
