Oleg Demidov graduated from the School of Public Administration at Moscow State University of Lomonosov in 2010. Currently, Oleg has been working on his Ph.D thesis at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University). In 2011-2012, he held the position of Project Coordinator at Center for Political and International Studies (CPIS) under the International Federation for Peace and Conciliation. In 2012-2016, he has served as an expert to the Commission on Information Security and Cybercrime at the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC). He is a graduate of the International Summer School of the PIR Center for global security issues. In 2012-2014, he held the position of Director of the Program International Information Security and Global Internet Governance at PIR Center.  In 2011-2014 Oleg participated in the international project “A Twenty-First Century Concert of Powers” conducted by Frankfurt Peace Research Institute (PRIF). In 2018, being a Head of the Analysis and Forecasting Department of the Tatarstan Entrepreneurship Support Fund, he collaborated with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in developing projects for digital transformation of the Republic's economy. From February 2019 to February 2020, he was a Cyber Portfolio Researcher at the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR). Currently, he is an independent researcher. Since 2015, he has been working with the PIR Center as a freelance consultant. Mikhail is an experienced attorney and specialist in the field of information security. He is the  PayPal IRM Director, earlier - vice president of the Mail.ru Group and previously served as president of the Coordination Center of the Russian Top-Level Domain (RU), DST Advisors Managing Director. Mikhail focuses on information rights issues, including access to information. He has co-authored the drafts of most of Russia's legislation on information technology. Previously, he was employed at Microsoft Russia, where he was responsible for the corporation's cooperation with governmental authorities in Russia and other CIS states. Mikhail represented the Russian Federation in the G8 working group on legal issues, and in 2004, he was a member of the working group on Internet governance established by the U.N. Secretary-General. Mikhail served as the Chair of PIR Center's Working Group on International Information Security and Global Internet Governance under the Center's Advisory Board in 2012-2014.
