Analyst at the Institute of International Studies at the MGIMO University of the Russian Foreign Ministry, a Consultant at PIR Center, a member of the Deep Cuts Commission and expert at Valdai Club International. He has previously served as a Research Fellow at the Center for Global Trends and International Organizations of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, PIR Center «Russia and Nuclear Nonproliferation» Program Director and the Editor-in-Chief of monthly e-bulletin “Yaderny Kontrol” (“Nuclear Control”). Mr. Baklitskiy was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in 2019-2020. He taught courses on nuclear nonproliferation and emerging technologies at the MGIMO University and the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Oleg Demidov graduated from the School of Public Administration at Moscow State University of Lomonosov in 2010. Currently, Oleg has been working on his Ph.D thesis at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University). In 2011-2012, he held the position of Project Coordinator at Center for Political and International Studies (CPIS) under the International Federation for Peace and Conciliation. In 2012-2016, he has served as an expert to the Commission on Information Security and Cybercrime at the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC). He is a graduate of the International Summer School of the PIR Center for global security issues. In 2012-2014, he held the position of Director of the Program International Information Security and Global Internet Governance at PIR Center.  In 2011-2014 Oleg participated in the international project “A Twenty-First Century Concert of Powers” conducted by Frankfurt Peace Research Institute (PRIF). In 2018, being a Head of the Analysis and Forecasting Department of the Tatarstan Entrepreneurship Support Fund, he collaborated with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in developing projects for digital transformation of the Republic's economy. From February 2019 to February 2020, he was a Cyber Portfolio Researcher at the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR). Currently, he is an independent researcher. Since 2015, he has been working with the PIR Center as a freelance consultant.
