In 2007, Leyla was a visiting fellow at the Monterey Institute of International Studies’ James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies . Trushkin Ivan V. image
Biography :

Till September, 2012 worked as "Nuclear Nonproliferation and Russia" Program Coordinator at PIR Center.  Ivan Trushkin graduated with honors from Altai State University, MA in history. He participated in several conferences on nuclear disarmament, future of nuclear energy, Iranian nuclear issue and the 22nd UN International Conference on Disarmament Issues in Japan. His research on nuclear nonproliferation was published by Tomsk State University (TSU). Ivan Trushkin is a graduate of International Summer Schools on Nuclear Disarmament, organized by Swedish Nuclear Power Inspectorate, Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, and Tomsk State University and Tomsk Polytechnic University, 2007-2009. He is an alumnus of the 2009 PIR Center International Summer School on Global Security. From September to December 2009 and from February to May 2010, Ivan Trushkin interned at PIR Center. He successfully defended the research paper on nuclear weapons free zone in the Middle East, took part in preparation of the research paper fro the Ministry of Defense's Public Council. Security Index journal featured his article about Russia-Iranian economic trade and the influence of the UN and US sanctions. He also co-authored article “NPT of Tomorrow” published in Russia in Global Affairs journal. Ivan Trushkin is one of the authors of nongovernmental White Paper "NPT-2010: Strengthening the Regime", which was presented in New York during the 2010 NPT Review Conference. Now his research work is how to prevent financing WMD terrorism.
