MOSCOW, MAY 29, 2017. PIR-PRESS — «Those, who dream to dedicate their lives to the international security, must definitely try to apply to this program, because there is nothing better in this sphere in the whole world”, — Adlan Margoev, student of the Dual Degree Program in Nonproliferation Studies.

Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) announced that it will give two scholarships for the Russian students of the Dual Degree Program in Nonproliferation Studies. Program is jointly organized by MGIMO (Russia), Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (USA), and PIR Center. As in 2016 best candidates from Russia will be able to receive scholarships from the fund covering the tuition fees for the American part of the program. Based on the results of the competitive selection best students could receive also financial support from MGIMO and Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.

Dual Degree Program in Nonproliferation Studies provides a great opportunity to begin your Master’s level education at MGIMO, continue at Monterey, receive diplomas from both Russian and American universities, and interact with leading experts and practitioners in the field of nonproliferation and global security. The deadline for students applying from outside of Russia is June 15, 2017. Students who live in Russia or hold Russian citizenship, and who do not need to obtain visa, can apply up to July 20, 2017.

Adlan Margoev, student of the program, one of the recipients of the scholarship from NTI in 2016 shared his impressions: “It is hard to imagine today the issues that influence international security more than fight with terrorism, nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction, cybersecurity. Already after first term one can safely say that the results are phenomenal — students, who were previously dealing with completely different topics and were specializing in various other fields, now can discuss all these issues with acting diplomats, experts, and specialists from different countries. Those, who dream to dedicate their lives to the international security and contribute to the development of each of these issues, must definitely try to apply to this program, because there is nothing better in this sphere in the whole world”.
