FUNDING
Financial support for the PIR Center's work comes from
various sources including foundations (The Ford Foundation,
The John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur
Foundation, The W. Alton Jones
Foundation, The John Merck Fund, The Ploughshares
Fund, Nuclear Threat Initiative and others), institutes (the Monterey Institute of International
Studies, the United States Institute of
Peace, Center for Strategic and International Studies and others), governments (the UK, Norway, and the Netherlands),
Russian businesses, and PIR Center consulting and publishing projects.
The organization has tax exempt status in Russia and is also incorporated in
the United States as the Center for Policy Studies in Russia, which has a
tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.
