PIR CENTER RESEARCH COUNCIL

The Research Council was formed in February 1998 to provide additional expertise for the PIR Center's studies and to raise the quality of the Center's published materials. It was also envisaged that the Research Council would hold formal discussions on the most pressing international security issues and discuss and evaluate the Center's ongoing and future research projects.

The Research Council consists of more than 50 Russian and foreign policymakers, scientists, and military officials who are professionally involved in international security matters, especially in the field of arms control.
