Maria Vernikova

Maria Vernikova

Maria Vernikova is Assistant to the Director of the PIR Center. She graduated from a four-year course at the College of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1996 and, in 1998, attended a lecture course on nonproliferation at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI). She is fluent in English, and is currently enrolled in a course in International Economic Relations at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). Before joining the PIR Center, Ms Vernikova worked in the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In her capacity as Assistant to the Director, Ms Vernikova manages the administration of the PIR Center, working with staff, current and potential subscribers to the Сenter's publications. She handles public relations, maintains contacts with the media, organizes internship programs, and co-ordinates meetings, seminars and international conferences hosted by the Center. She also co-ordinates the MEPhI lecture course.
