Oleg Demidov graduated from the School of Public Administration at Moscow State University of Lomonosov in 2010. Currently, Oleg has been working on his Ph.D thesis at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University). In 2011-2012, he held the position of Project Coordinator at Center for Political and International Studies (CPIS) under the International Federation for Peace and Conciliation. In 2012-2016, he has served as an expert to the Commission on Information Security and Cybercrime at the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC). He is a graduate of the International Summer School of the PIR Center for global security issues. In 2012-2014, he held the position of Director of the Program International Information Security and Global Internet Governance at PIR Center.  In 2011-2014 Oleg participated in the international project “A Twenty-First Century Concert of Powers” conducted by Frankfurt Peace Research Institute (PRIF). In 2018, being a Head of the Analysis and Forecasting Department of the Tatarstan Entrepreneurship Support Fund, he collaborated with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in developing projects for digital transformation of the Republic's economy. From February 2019 to February 2020, he was a Cyber Portfolio Researcher at the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR). Currently, he is an independent researcher. Since 2015, he has been working with the PIR Center as a freelance consultant. Doctor of Economics, Professor. Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary. Graduated from Moscow State University of Foreign Affairs in 1978. In 1978-1980 and 1984-1987 was a member of USSR trade promotion office in North Korea. In 1980-1990 was a  junior research associate and research associate of the Institute of Economy of World Socialist System of Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Taught in Moscow State University of Foreign Affairs since 1981. In 1990-1991 was an Executive Secretary of the USSR Chamber of Commerce and IndustryUSSR-South Korean Economic Copperation Council in 1990-1991. His television productions during this period are: Documentary on Indo-Russian defense ties telecast by Doordarshan, documentary on Indo-Russian Relations in English and Russian for the Ministry of External Affairs, documentary film on the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan, directed for AIM Television. His articles on late Ahmed Shah Masood were published in Frontline. Interview with Masood was published in The Hindu. In 2008 graduated with Master degree from the International Relations Department of the Ural State University and got Master degree in History from Central European University (2007, Budapest, Hungary). In 2003-2005 participated in international courses of Farsi language and literature. In August - December 2011 scholar of the Program for teaching and research at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.  Participant of sessions of the Preparatory Committee for the NPT Review Conference 2012-2013 and 2017 - 2020 and the 2015 NPT Review Conference. The organizer of the PIR Center International School on Global Security, the programs for improving professional skills of Central Asian specialists, the course on global security of the international session of the youth forum "Seliger",  the joint educational course of the PIR Center and MGIMO "nonproliferation of WMD" and a Dual Degree Master’s Program in Nonproliferation Studies (MGIMO - Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey - PIR Center). 07/20
